Epoxy Filler
Restor-it Epoxy Filler— is a two-part 50-50-mix epoxy
APPLICATION
- Using separate putty knifes, place equal portions of Part A and Part B on a flat surface.
- To mix, fold one component into the other, then smear and re-fold into itself again.
- Continue this process until you have a uniform color throughout.
- While mixing, scrape off your putty knife to ensure the ingredients are uniformly mixed.
- Place filler on a putty knife and apply it to the needed area; keep applying until the area is filled.
- For a smooth finish, place a sheet of plastic over the filled-in area. Do not remove until cured.
Recommendations:
Once cured, the filler will have a glass-like finish. Do not use a thin household plastic, such as Saran wrap. Once you place a piece of plastic over the filler, do not attempt to remove it. Let it cure. Imperfections on the filler can be sanded out or more filler can be applied.
For vertical surfaces, place a plastic sheet over the filled area to keep it in place until it is dry. Use a cheap, hard acrylic plastic that can be bought at a local hardware store. Simply score the plastic the size that you need to cover the fill area; snap the plastic; place it over the filled area; and secure.
