I am a licensed general contractor  I have used Restor-it for over 20 years in repairing dry rot all around homes, tail rafter, bathroom floors, kitchen floors, decks, windows.  I also use Restor-it Sealer on new flooring and as a primer on raw wood to help prevent rot and have had great success using it this way.
Restor-it is expensive compared to other types of products claiming to do what Restor-it does.

We have an old wood house.  Restor-it Sealer has saved us thousands of dollars in repair bills.  We thought we were going to have to replace our wooden windows damaged by rot.  When we saw the estimates for replacements we looked for ways to fix them.  We somehow found out about Restor-it Sealer & Filler.  Since then we have used Restor-it all over our house.  We found out it is also great primer for paints and varnishes.  We sanded our front door down primed it with Restor-it sealer and varnished it.  It has been over 10 years and our door, which gets direct sin light, still looks great.  We highly recommend Restor-it.
